    Pimping a Drabblethon

    Sigh
    Dear Ruffles,

    If I buy a bag of your delicious BBQ chips, is it too much to ask to actually have BBQ flavored powder on the chips? If I wanted bland, tasteless chips, I'd buy Lays. Now, if I could look at one of these bland chips and see the face of Jesus, that would be cool. I could imagine Jesus licking off all the flavor powder from each chip. I'd sacrifice flavor for comedy. Then, I could sell Jesus for profit.

    Bring out old friends
    I was digging though the cabinets looking for something and ran across something I hadn't used in years. It was a Hamilton Beach mixer thingy. I dusted it off today and made a shake - Oreo ice cream, milk, and a little freshly brewed coffee. It was mighty tasty. I may keep that thing on the counter again.

    Most of you are/were married and got some random kitchen appliance. We've all got them and never use them. This week, show one of them some love.

    Break out that crock pot, the George Foreman Grill, the hot air popcorn popper, the Hamilton Beach mixer thingy, the cotton candy maker, the waffle iron, the bread maker, the ice cream maker, bread maker, espresso machine, the Ronco Rotisserie, or Jack LaLanne's Power Juicer.

    To get extra nostalgic, I had some Spam and eggs for dinner. Eggs over medium, and the Spam well done, sliced very thin. We all know that Spam tastes better almost burnt.

    I finally crossed back to the good side of 190. I stalled out for a bit at 192-195. 15-20 more to go to reach goal. Let's keep this train running.

    Mass Confusion
    I woke up at 3am in the most confused state of mind I can ever remember.  I normally don't remember anything about dreams.  I normally sleep on my right side.  If I sleep on my left side, I dream.  Must have something to do with blood flow/pooling.  Whatever.

    Last night, I fell asleep on my left side, and I had a dream where I was Harry Potter, and we were supposed to be in a safe house.  What's odd is that the scene repeated twice, with a different scenario for each.  One was nothing happened.  The second, we were ambushed after walking on a balcony. 

    Then the third.  The house was under renovation, and I thought I could see someone upstairs through holes in the construction.  As I am looking up, and listening for any sound, my heart racing, I am betrayed by one of my body guards.  I wheeled around only to see that it's Cooter from the original Dukes of Hazzard.   I heard a noise in my real house and woke up.  I couldn't go back to sleep for a while, thinking, "Cooter?  WTF?"

    Need a ride?
    I've got Thursday and Friday off of work.  It's too hot for golf, and I really don't want to do yard work.   Why not offer to help out then?

    If you are coming to Portus and want to save the money on a cab ride, I can pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel.  DFW is 15-20 minutes from the hotel, and Love Field is 5-10 minutes.  Reply here, and we can exchange emails and I'll give you my cell #.

    I have been away from fandom for a bit.  The end of the HP series was such a disappointment that I couldn't stay motivated.  I think I've finally come to grips with it all.  I am ready to check the journals daily again.  Sorry for my absence.
